Pure Methylaminoformyl chloride is a white crystal with a melting point of 45℃ (decomposes). It is soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and other organic solvents. It decomposes upon contact with alkali or moisture and is prone to explosion. It is unstable at high temperatures and can cause irritation to the eyes and respiratory tract. An intermediate of carbamate insecticides and herbicides. Methyl carbamoyl chloride is prepared by the reaction of methylamine with phosgene.

2.Solubility: Soluble in acetonitrile, chloroform (in small amounts), and DMSO.
3.Stability: Sensitive to air, hygroscopic, moisture-sensitive, volatile.
Formylcarbamoyl chloride can be widely used as an intermediate for carbamate insecticides such as metolachlor, carbaryl, isocarbaryl, methomyl, metrifluazin and metrifluazinoxime.
